About Us
We’re a friendly, grassroots group determined to preserve democracy, protect the vulnerable — and support each other along the way.
Our members come from Plainfield and North Plainfield, New Jersey — plus Watchung, Greenbrook, Fanwood, Scotch Plains, and other nearby towns.
What is Indivisible?
Indivisible is a national national progressive political movements with groups throughout the United States and around the world. With more than a million members, they help us take effective action against repressive agendas and fight for progessive policies.
Indivisible was one of several organizers of 2025’s “No Kings” rallies — actions in which millions of people stood together at the same time to say that We The People will not give up our voice or our values.
What do we do?
Formed in early 2025, we:
Pressure elected representatives to take critical actions, such as supporting the Immigant Trust Act in New Jersey
Help to register new voters at event booths, phone banking, and via hundreds of postcards
Organize Visibility Brigades over Route 22 in North Plainfield, NJ
Canvas for the politicians who most closely relfect our values
Host Know Your Rights training for individuals and businesses, so that at-risk individuals, families and workers understand what to do — and not do — if stopped by ICE or other immigration-policing organizations.
What are our plans for 2026?
2026 is a big year. We’ll work toward electing the best Congressional Representatitves for CD-7 and CD 11.
And we’re expanding out efforts to:
Train individuals and businesses on their rights, regardless of immigration status
Organize patrolling and Rapid Response teams to assist our neighbors when immigration forces appear
Perhaps most imortant, Courage Is Contagious: Many of your friends and neighbors want the America you want. With Indivisible, we have a way to channel our mutual outrage into effective action.
